Safety

Our Mayor’s top priority must be public safety. As Mayor, I will ensure our law enforcement officers fulfill their duties consistent with the policies our residents set through our local officials. Fox Chapel residents rightfully demand a well run, responsive local government. As Mayor, I will ensure our police department is well run and our streets are clean and safe.

Emergency response in our Borough also depends upon our well-equipped volunteer Fire Department and Foxwall EMS. These first responders proudly serve our residents. As Mayor, I will promote our community’s continued strong support of these vital organizations.

A local government serves its residents most efficiently and effectively when it uses the right tools. As Mayor, I will promote the use of innovative data collection, data analysis, and communication tools in every aspect of our local government.

For example, there are innovative tools available to collect and analyze data regarding the location and health of our trees. By implementing those tools, we can find the best ways to preserve and conserve the natural resources that make Fox Chapel so unique while at the same time ensuring we receive reliable and safe electricity to our homes.

I will also promote the use of the best communication tools for providing timely and useful information to our residents in the event of an emergency. Residents need to have a reliable resource they can access easily to know exactly what’s going on in the area.

Better connecting our parks and trails to residents’ homes also requires innovative solutions. As Mayor, I will always push for ways to provide our residents with better access to those points of pride in our Borough.

Shared Values

Sustainability and resilience. A culture of belonging. Collaboration. Our Joint Comprehensive Plan with O’Hara Township recognizes those values as our community’s guiding principles. As a Member of Council, I proudly voted to approve that Plan. As Mayor, those values will continue to guide me.

Consistent with that Plan, I will promote inclusive, accessible public services “regardless of ability, ethnicity, faith, gender, race, sexual orientation or identity, socioeconomic position or other identity status or characteristic.”
